Mental Health Estrie’s Lending Library
Our well-stocked MHE library is an invaluable resource for community members. There are many different topics all related to mental health and well-being. Whether you are seeking information for yourself or a loved one that may be experiencing a mental health issue, you are sure to find a book.
Did you know that our library includes best sellers to self-help volumes and practical information. Many well-known authors writing about mental illness are represented and there’s information for all interests.
The library also contains DVDs on mental health related topics such as Dr. Amador’s popular Learn to LEAP® DVD which teaches you how to use the LEAP® method, helping professionals, family members and others create strong partnerships with people with mental illness, even when they don’t believe they’re ill!
We have many workbooks with practical tools and coping skills. The exercises and activities in the workbooks can be completed at any time, making it an ideal option for individuals with busy schedules or limited access to therapy. However, it’s important to note that while workbooks can be a helpful resource, they do not replace the guidance and support of a trained therapist.
The library is user friendly and is completely free to access.
For help, more information, or you would like to come by and see for yourself, please give us a call at 819-565-3777 or email us at: info@mentalhealthestrie.com
We will be happy to assist!
A special thank you to Tillotson Coaticook Region Fund whose grants have made this library possible.
This month’s BOTM is “Defeating SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder): A Guide to Health and Happiness Through All Seasons” by Norman E. Rosenthal M.D.
