Help for families and individuals affected by mental illness

When we or someone we love is diagnosed with a mental illness it can be a very confusing time for the individual, as well as their family and friends. Don’t suffer through this time alone.

  • Are you or someone you know coping with a mental illness?
  • Are words like: mania, psychosis, bipolar disorder or schizophrenia confusing to you?
  • Did you know there are other illnesses such as : anxiety / panic disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, eating disorders, personality disorders and others?
  • Feel like youre the only person in this situation?

When we or someone we love is diagnosed with a mental illness it can be a very confusing time for the individual, as well as their family and friends. Dont suffer through this time alone. Mental Health Estrie offers support, guidance and education to individuals coping with mental illness, as well as their family and friends.

Support groups provide an opportunity to share experiences and to support each other in an atmosphere of confidentiality and acceptance. People need to be able to share their personal stories. The benefits of sharing your story can help both you and someone else who is living a similar experience. Lift the clouds, break the isolation, and contact a support group.
